10.18 സെക്കന്‍ഡിലാണ് 22കാരന്‍ ഫിനിഷ് ചെയ്തത്. 10.20 സെക്കന്‍ഡിനുള്ളില്‍ 100 മീറ്റര്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ തന്നെ ആദ്യ താരമായും അനിമേഷ് മാറി. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗുര്‍വിന്ദര്‍വിര്‍ സിങ് ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ മാര്‍ച്ചില്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ച 10.20 സെക്കന്‍ഡിന്റെ റെക്കോർഡായിരുന്നു ഇതിന് മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്.
